Frankincense-Did You know?

Did you know Frankincense is the oil of truth? Frankincense helps uncover false truths, and deceptions. It invites people to let go of lower vibrational energy, along with lies, deceptions, and negativity. Frankincense also helps support in creating a healthy attachment with one’s father, and Heavenly Father. It also reminds us we our loved, and protected.

This Arabian tree has been as famous as it has been elusive since long before the birth of Christ, when the three wise men from the East brought it as a gift to that humble stable in Bethlehem. We do not know how far the use of Frankincense goes back in time, but we do know that it scented the Egyptian Temples to honor Ra the ancient solar deity and it is said that Queen Sheba brought a great number of Frankincense trees as a special gift for King Solomon. Unfortunately those trees were destined to die as Frankincense trees only grow in a very limited geographic range and very arid conditions. Nevertheless, it’s the thought that counts and bringing all these trees was indeed a very strong sign of honor and respect. In the ancient world incense trees fueled the economy of the Arab world as oil does today.

Frankincense oil may help with aging, allergies, insect and snake bites, bronchitis, colds, diarrhea, headaches, healing, hemorrhaging, herpes, high blood pressure, Jaundice and many other health issues. It contains sesquiterpenes, enabling it to go beyond the blood-brain barrier. Frankincense may also help a person have a better attitude, which may help strengthen the immune system.

The Wise Sage

When I think of forgiveness I think of the story my Dad liked to tell about a wise Chinese Sage who is the wisest old man of the village. Their was a woman who was offended greatly by another woman in the village, so she visits the wise sage and asks him what is the best way to hurt someone the most? He said it is very simple. The first step is to be as nice as possible to the woman that hurt you everyday. Then in two weeks, I will tell you what to do next. Three weeks go by when the wise old sage sees the woman who wanted to hurt the other woman in the village. The wise sage said,” Are you ready for the next step to hurt the person who offended you?” The woman said she could never hurt the woman who had once offended her. She said she could never hurt this woman because she was her very best friend. When we serve others it is very easy to forgive them and overlook their differences.

The Pony

This is one of my favorite stories I first heard when I went to Circle
A Ranch in Rockford Michigan. This story was told by Skip Ross. The story is
about two boys who were a part of a scientific study to see if your
environment has anything to do with your attitude or your outlook on
life. The first boy Tommy was brought into a room filled with every toy
imaginable. Tommy complained that the bicycle was the wrong color
and the remote control car was the wrong style. He already had all the
books that were in the room. The complaints went on and on Tommy
complained about everything in the room.

The second boy Johnny was brought into a room with one huge
pile of horse manure. Johnny was told they would be right back to see
how he was doing. They came back to the room an hour later and
they found him singing and laughing. Johnny was also throwing
manure all over the room. Johnny was asked, “what are you doing?
Why are you having such a good time?” Johnny said, “with all this
manure around here there must be a pony around here somewhere”

what he thinks, he becomes.
