Frankincense-Did You Know?

Frankincense Did you know Frankincense is the oil of truth? Frankincense helps uncover false truths, and deceptions. It invites people to let go of lower vibrational energy, along with lies, deceptions, and negativity. Frankincense also helps support in creating a healthy attachment with one’s father, and Heavenly Father. It also reminds us we our loved, and protected.

This Arabian tree has been as famous as it has been elusive since long before the birth of Christ, when the three wise men from the East brought it as a gift to that humble stable in Bethlehem. We do not know how far the use of Frankincense goes back in time, but we do know that it scented the Egyptian Temples to honor Ra the ancient solar deity and it is said that Queen Sheba brought a great number of Frankincense trees as a special gift for King Solomon. Unfortunately those trees were destined to die as Frankincense trees only grow in a very limited geographic range and very arid conditions. Nevertheless, it’s the thought that counts and bringing all these trees was indeed a very strong sign of honor and respect. In the ancient world incense trees fueled the economy of the Arab world as oil does today.

Frankincense oil may help with aging, allergies, insect and snake bites, bronchitis, colds, diarrhea, headaches, healing, hemorrhaging, herpes, high blood pressure, Jaundice and many other health issues. It contains sesquiterpenes, enabling it to go beyond the blood-brain barrier. Frankincense may also help a person have a better attitude, which may help strengthen the immune system.

Essential Oils in the Bible

NoBiblew when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:1,11

Allen, a Memory of a Great Man

Allen and Ramona damewood

I have many fond memories of Allen. Today he would have been 58. I miss him, and think of him often. My sister, Ramona and Allen were were married in 1980. I was in high school when they got married. Allen always liked to make light of stressful situations which was helpful in tense moments.

I have been known for not stopping and taking time to smell the roses. The Chevy Chase version of visiting the Grand Canyon, just stopping long enough to take a picture is my version of a trip, (not quite that bad). Allen would go hiking with a field guide so he could identify and truly enjoy everything he came across on his hike. This was a little slow for me. He loved taking it slow, so he wouldn’t miss a thing.

Allen’s favorite thing to do to me was he would tap on my shoulder, and then look the other way pretending to not even notice I was there. I would look at him and he would smile with his impish grin and I would say “the imp is at it again”. We would both laugh. It was almost like a kind of greeting between the two of us that I miss deeply.

Four years ago, Allen was diagnosed with very advanced prostate cancer with a very grim outlook.  He refused to let that kind of news get him down. He started doing all kinds of natural homeopathic things to give him more time. Allen also had good extended family, and friends that gave him all kinds of things that they thought would help him.

One day Allen pulled out a box of everything people wanted him to try. He said if I tried everything in this box all I would do is go from one remedy to another not knowing what would help me the best. He said I pray about it and do the gut check. If it feels right I will try it, if not I won’t. Two things that helped Allen was Frankincense essential oil and the Cellular Complex.

Frankincense is a great oil when you are not sure what will help. This is the Swiss Army knife of essential oils with multiple uses and is known the help people with cancer.  The Cellular Complex is an oil blend that has the abilities to provide antioxidant support for cells and to promote a healthy cellular life cycle.

I would like to think this is one of the reasons Allen lived two and a half years, Much longer than his doctors thought he would live with a much better quality of life. His Doctor’s were always amazed at how well he was doing with his very advanced cancer.  He was hiking the Canadian Rockies the summer before he died.  With his positive attitude, healthy eating and using natures medicine along with using doctors advice, he got the best of both worlds.

Frankincense is Fantastic

Frankincense Is Fantastic

Frankincense is a very powerful essential oil. I have heard it called the Swiss Army Knife of essential oils because of it’s multiple uses. I have a friend at work that I was sharing essential oils with. He mentioned he has a daughter with a big planter wart on her hand. I looked in my Modern Essential Book and found that Frankincense essential oil was studied to help planter warts and may be effective. I put frankincense in a roller bottle with fractionated coconut oil. My friend had his daughter apply the the oil several times a day. After 10 days her planter wart was much improved .

Frankincense is a great oil to use if your immune system has been compromised. When I find myself feeling run down, with a stuffy nose and cough, I will put 3-4 drops of Frankincense essential oil in a glass of water and drink it. I find it frustrating when I finally decide to go to the doctor and he tells me sorry it is a virus there is nothing I can do for you. I am thinking to myself can’t you see I feel miserable and look horrible, I need help!

All essential oils cross the blood-brain barrier. This makes them uniquely able to address disease, not only from a physical level, but from a more basic, primary, level which the emotions are often the root cause of physical illness. Now when I hear “sorry you have a virus”, I know I can use essential oils that can cross the blood brain barrier to attack the virus that is negatively effecting my body.

There are many reasons I choose to use essential oils. The other day I was interested in knowing how many different essential oils I use in a day, I was surprised to count over 15. If your using essential oils great keep it up, if not let me help you get started on a life with positive effects.

My Wonder(ful) Mom

My Wonder(ful) Mom

My wonder(ful) mom
Many of you know my mom. She is a spunky, kind, and caring person. In October 2013, she had major dental surgery for over an hour. Part of her jaw bone crumbled, and her teeth were also affected.
For years my parents have not been on any medication, because they are extremely healthy people. My mom did not want to be on any medications after the surgery. She followed this strict regimen every three hours: Frankincense was rubbed on her gums and put under her tongue. Lemongrass was rubbed on her cheek and under the tongue. Oregano was also taken internally. Lastly, she took Protective Blend Softgels three times a day. My mom is proud to say she is 78, and didn’t even use pain medication. Way to go mom! The power of  essential oils are amazing.
