Three Birds on a Wire
A teacher was helping her third-grade students with a math problem. After choosing a student in particular, she recited the following story:
“Billy, there are three birds sitting on a telephone wire. A man with a gun shoots one of the birds. How many birds are left on the wire?”
The boy pauses. “None,” he replied thoughtfully. “No, no, no. Let’s try again, maybe you didn’t hear me correctly,”the teacher says patiently. She holds up three fingers.
“There are three birds sitting on a wire. A man with a gun shoots one,” she puts down one finger, “how many birds are left on the wire?”
“None,” the boy says with authority.
The teacher sighs. “Tell me how you came up with that.”
“It’s simple,” says the boy, “after the man shot one bird, the noise from the gun scared the other two away.”
“Well,” she says, “that’s not technically correct, but I like the way you think.”
“Thanks,” chimes the boy, “now let me ask you a question.” “Okay,” she said guardedly.
“There are three women sitting on a bench eating popsicles. One woman is licking the popsicle, one woman is biting the popsicle, and one is sucking the popsicle. Which one is married?” he asked innocently.
The teacher looked at the boy’s angelic face and writhed in agony, turning three shades of red.
“C’mon,” the boy said impatiently, “which one is it, the one licking the popsicle, the one biting it, or the one sucking it? Which one is married?”
“Well, uh,” she gulped and in a barely audible whisper replied, “the one who’s sucking?”
“Naw,” he says with surprise, “the one with the wedding ring. But I like the way you think.”

Vetiver-Did You Know?
Did you know Vetiver dates backs to the 12th century? Vetiver herb and its essential oil have been used in many cultures around the world for thousands of years together. The massive amount of people that use this sacred herb is often attributed to its uplifting, soothing, calming and protecting properties.
Vetiver oil is know as the ‘Oil of Tranquility’ in India and Sri Lanka. Ayurvedic treatments, which are the traditional Hindu system of medicine which are based on the idea of balance in the body systems and the use of diet, herbal treatment, and yogic breathing.
The use of this oil to treat the imbalances of an individual’s constitution, such as health disorders like muscular aches, fevers, arthritis pain, loss of energy, heat strokes, joint disorders, skin problems, headaches and to cool the body during extremely high temperatures. Vetiver essential oil was also used in massaging brides to sanctify them before their marriage.
Thyme-Did You Know?
Did you know Thyme is the oil of releasing and forgiving? Thyme is one of the most compelling cleansers of our emotions and supports us in response to the concerns of trapped feelings that have been buried for a long time.
Thyme was also associated with courage, bravery and strength in ancient times? For thousands of years, thyme has been a big part of the herb garden, used as an antidote for poison, a plague preventative, a symbol of bravery in battle, and a reliable companion to the grave. Thyme has a far more interesting past than you’d think if you were walking past it in the grocery store today.
Thyme’s reputation as a healer and protector goes back many centuries. Thyme was also associated with bravery, courage, and strength in ancient times. Roman soldiers exchanged sprigs of thyme as a sign of respect. Greeks and Romans burned bundles of thyme to purify their temples and homes, and to recall a spirit of courage in those who inhaled it.
When cooking with thyme, use 1-2 drops in meat and entrée dishes to add a fresh herbal flavor. When using topically, dilute with fractionated coconut oil. Then apply to targeted areas on the skin to purify and promote healthy skin. Add 2 drops to veggie capsules and take internally during winter time to promote immunity.
The Rolls Royce Dilemma
Several years ago my dad was a teacher at East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. One of my dad’s former students, Mike, owned a car dealership that sold many high end cars. One day my dad decided to drop in, and say hello to a former student. While visiting he asked, “Mike, tell me one of your most interesting stories here at your car dealership.” Mike replied,” A few months ago a man in torn ragged clothes came into the show room looking at all the cars on display. It was not uncommon for homeless men and women to wander in off the streets to warm up from the cold. When this man came in, he was spending most of his time looking at the Rolls Royce automobiles.
Mike noticed he had two salesmen that could have helped this man, but chose not to. Feeling a little embarrassed that his salesmen were in no hurry to help this man, he went up to this man and asked if he could help him. He began to tell Mike that he had always wanted to own a Rolls Royce, and it was his wife’s birthday. He wanted to surprise her with a white Rolls Royce, and he wanted to get a black one for himself. The commission that the salesmen passed up would have given them an equivalent of four months of pay on those two cars. Mike called the bank, and the cars were ordered while the salesmen were left squirming with their mouths wide open. They judged this man unfairly because of the clothes he was wearing.
The same could be said about people sharing essential oils, Someone may say I can’t believe people actually think they can make money with essential oils. I am here to tell you, just as the Rolls Royce salesmen passed up talking to the man who looked like a bum, other people are passing on large six figure monthly incomes because they don’t realize the effective power of essential oils. I challenge everyone to use and share essential oils. They have changed my life, and can change yours as well.
Tangerine-Did You Know?
Did you know tangerineʼs have strong qualities of cheer and joyfulness? People who at times feel overwhelmed by responsibility would benefit from the the uplifting vibration that comes from tangerineʼs. Another important aspect of tangerine is itʼs ability to help us access our creative energy within our spirit.
The name tangerine comes from Tangier, a port of Morocco, where the first ship with Mandarin oranges arrived from China? This citrus fruit is believed to have originated in Southeastern Asia and since then it has been widely cultivated in different parts of the world.
A tangerine orange is smaller than a regular orange, and contains a strong pleasant fragrance. The fruit is quite fragile but the sections are easy to separate. A medium tangerine provides about 37 calories of food value, the fruit is not only delicious, it is an important addition to any diet.
Tangerine essential oil is great to use when cooking. Tangerine oil contains esters and aldehydes which are sedating and calming to the nervous system and has been studied for its ability to sooth emotions such as grief anger and shock. Like most citrus oils, avoid direct sunlight or UV light for up to 12 hours after using on the skin.

A Priest and Nun in Winter
A priest and a nun were lost in a snowstorm. After a while, they
came upon a small cabin. Being exhausted, they prepared to go to
sleep.
There was a stack of blankets in the corner and a sleeping bag on
the floor but only one bed. Being a gentleman, the priest said,
“Sister, you sleep on the bed. I’ll sleep on the floor in the
sleeping bag.”
Just as he got zipped up in the bag and was beginning to fall
asleep, the nun said, “Father, I’m cold.” He unzipped the sleeping
bag, got up, got a blanket and put it on her.
Once again, he got into the sleeping bag, zipped it up and started
to drift off to sleep when the nun once again said, “Father, I’m
still very cold.” He unzipped the bag, got up again, put
another blanket on her and got into his sleeping bag once again.
Just as his eyes closed, she said, “Father, I’m sooooo cold.”
This time, he remained there and said, “Sister, I have an idea.
We’re out here in the wilderness where no one will ever know what
happened. Let’s pretend we’re married.”
The nun purred, “That’s fine by me.”
To which the priest yelled back, “Get up and get your own stupid blanket!”
