In a world with more than seven billion people, it’s easy to underestimate the importance of one. There are so many people who have so many gifts and talents who are already doing so many things that are so helpful and inspiring, who needs me? What can I as one person contribute to the needs of our world, our church and community? The truth is, you are unique, the only you in all the world. Nobody can do the things that God has called you to do better than you at this moment.
Edward Everett Hale puts it this way:
I am only one,
But still I am one.
I cannot do everything;
but still I can do something;
and because I cannot do everything
I will not refuse to do the something
that I can do.
There is only one you. You’re the only person with your exact life with your set of circumstances and events on your journey that have brought you to this hour on this planet. You’re the only one with your personal convictions, your makeup, your skills, your appearance, your touch, your voice, your style, your surroundings, you’re the only one. My passion is essential oils, I choose to help one person, one family, one community at a time with this amazing gift from the earth, and you can make your mark in the world as well. Go do the right thing.

Zoob’s Law
I encourage everyone to find truth. We will never grow if we close our minds to truth. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. Many people are not ready to receive truth. We are all at different stages of learning. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.
This brings up an interesting fact. Some people might be looking for a solution to a health problem or another concern they are having. When they are introduced to a solution they don’t recognize it as such, and easily discount the new concept as crazy or absurd.
I like Zoob’s Law. It goes like this, “Generally the non-informed can be expected to oppose whatever he does not understand, hiding his own ignorance by a degree of aggressive descent roughly equal to his ignorance. The greater the ignorance, the greater the opposition.”
Sometimes we are quick to judge or form an opinion about things when we do not really know how they work. We condemn things before we know the facts or truth about a matter. Often we make quick assessments of things we know nothing about. Let’s change that by being more open minded.
Grapefruit-Did You Know?
Did you know that the grapefruit is thought to be a hybrid between pomelo (citrus maximus) and the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis)? Captain Shaddock cultivated the pomelo and sweet orange seeds in Jamaica (18th century) which soon led to its hybridization! Grapefruit oil may help with cancer, eating disorders, fatigue, jet lag, liver disorders, migraine headaches, and premenstrual tension. Its fragrance is mood elevating and has been used to help with depression. It may also have the ability to cleanse the kidneys, the lymphatic system, and the vascular system.
Essential Oils in the Bible
“And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.”

Ylang Ylang-Did You Know?
Did you know Ylang Ylang is the oil of the Inner Child? Ylang Ylang has a strong effect on the heart. It also is a powerful means for releasing emotional, distressing, or disturbing experiences from the past. Ylang Ylang also helps people let go of bottled up emotions such as sadness and anger.
Ylang Ylang is a tall tropical tree that grows up to 65 feet high with large delicate flowers that come in shades of yellow, mauve, or pink. The yellow flowers are preferred for the extraction of the essential oil, which is steam distilled from the freshly picked flowers. It is indigenous to tropical Asia, but the most prized oil comes from Madagascar and the Comoro Islands.
Ylang Ylang means “flower of flowers” or “fragrance of all fragrances.” This fragrance is traditionally used in aromatherapy to sharpen the senses and for various other purposes. For these reasons, the flowers are spread on the beds of the newly married in Indonesia. Ylang Ylang is used to calm breathing, it may help high blood pressure, and also treats impotence (frigidity). Interestingly enough the original wild flowers had no fragrance. The fragrance we know today came from cloning.
A Reflection of my Past
Several years ago, almost in another lifetime, when I was 11 going on 12. I was on top of the world. I was in sixth grade. This is a pivotal year in school. I was finally king of the school. I had arrived at the top of the food chain as far as kids my age were thinking. I never was a cocky, arrogant, kid wanting to show how big I was to the other younger kids. I was a little awkward socially, never feeling like I really fit in.
One thing everyone had to do in sixth grade was learn how to dance. I remember having a dance teacher that came to our school once a week for a couple of months. After we learned how to waltz we had a school dance where we had to fill out a dance card, asking girls to dance. It was very painful getting 10 different girls to dance with me to fill up my dance card.
When we started learning how to square dance I loved it, except when I was dancing with Wendy Ryan, one of the most popular girls in the school. Her hands were very sweaty. What I liked best was I didn’t have to ask a girl to dance with me. We were just paired up which made it a lot less stressful. For the rest of the story Click Here.
