“Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.”

Two Less Fish in the Sea

For the past several months I have been helping with the wedding plans for my son Nathan and his fiancee Kasie. Nathan and Kasie met at their church in Utah. Kasie is from Texas so the grooms family has helped a lot with planning. There have been many things to do such as stringing beads to making flower balls for the table center pieces, and making a slide show video for the reception. Planning the food has also been a huge amount of work.
The other day I was feeling very overwhelmed thinking about all the things that still needed to be done for the wedding. It has really started to sink in since many of the guests have started to arrive in Utah, and will be staying at our house helping us prepare the finishing touches. Dog Tails

I have a very interesting dog with almost human-like characteristics, and did I mention smart. Maggie can be downstairs, and she will know if I have opened the fridge, and am fixing myself a sandwich. Besides meat, she loves vegetables. Her favorites are potato peelings and green peppers. When you throw her a small piece of vegetable, she will catch it mid air before it hits the ground.
The month of July Maggie gets very anxious with all the fireworks going off. Even before the first bang and flash of lights Maggie knows what nights to take cover. It will be 5:00 pm on July 3rd and she will know there will be fireworks later that night.
What happens is she starts to shake and she wants to be held. She looks at you with those eyes that say please help me. I have never seen a dog that likes to be cradled like a baby as much as Maggie does. It’s a pretty funny sight. For the rest of the story Click Here
Aches and Pains a Regular Part of Life

The older I get the more I realize aches and pains are a regular part of life. When I was younger I would hear people in their fifties and beyond talk about all their ailments, I thought how bad can it get? Now that I am one of those older people, I get it. Most of the time I am feeling great, however there are times when I feel my age, surprised at all the places you can have a senior moment with pain.
Several years ago Cassie my wife, was expecting our youngest daughter when her knee gave out on her. She was in major pain as a result of pulling a ligament. Ever since this happened, Cassie’s knee has never been the same. Cassie kept her knee wrapped with a knee brace for extra support for quite a while as a result of the injury.
Cassie was able to remove her knee brace after a few months but her knee was never quite the same. One day 3 years ago after a early spring snow storm, Cassie slipped on some ice walking to the parking lot and really messed up her knee.
A few days after Cassie re-injured her knee we were at a ( ) class where we were introduced to essential oils. At the end of the class we were asked if we wanted to get a Zyto Hand Scan with bio feed back capabilities. This is a computer program where a person puts their hand on a extra large mouse like device. When you put your hand on this it sends impulses from the body to the computer to determine how many of 76 bio markers are out of the normal range. The lower the number the more your body is in the normal range.

Prescription Drugs Have Negative Affects
“There are over 10 million adverse reactions yearly from FDA-approved over-the-counter and prescription drugs. We are not talking about mild nausea or headaches. Between 60,000 and 140,000 people die each year from adverse drug reactions. Each year, more Americans die after taking prescription drugs than died in the entire Vietnam war. Over half the drugs approved by the FDA since 1976 were later found to be much more toxic than previously thought. Several had to be removed from the market.”

Eczema a Painful Skin Condition

For many years I have suffered with eczema I must have inherited from my dad. This is a skin condition that can make my skin dry, red and itch like crazy. No one knew I had a problem unless I would get lazy and stop applying a very greasy prescription ointment called Triamcinolone Acetonide. My face either looked red, or greasy most of the time.
Eczema is any inflammation of the layers of skin that results in itching, redness and pain, sometimes blistering occurs. The term ‘eczema’ is used in two different ways. It can be used to describe any rash -like skin conditions It is usually used specifically to refer to the most common type of these skin conditions: atopic dermatitis.
Atopic dermatitis is a chronic skin condition that commonly starts during infancy and continues through into childhood. Some people outgrow the condition while some people will continue to have it when they are adults.
The word ‘atopic’ refers to a collection of diseases for which there is an inherited tendency to develop, including dermatitis, asthma and hay fever. ‘Dermatitis’ means inflammation of the skin.
I had resigned myself to years of itching, burning, and greasy messes. Even with my knowledge of essential oils I didn’t think it was possible to escape what I thought was an obvious fate of sore, itchy, red, skin. For the rest of the story Click Here.
The Sound of Music

I have a very smart dog Maggie, that loves fresh fruit and vegetables. Many days when I am making dinner she will wait patiently for a small piece of green pepper, potato, onion, peas, bananas, cherries and raspberries. When I throw her a piece of fruit or vegetable to eat, she will catch it in mid air. If she eats to much of a good thing she has really bad gas.
Today the cherries on the tree in my yard are starting to ripen. I was eating so many cherries with my son Daniel. Like the dog, I was starting to make my own sound of music. I knew I was in trouble because I was going to a wedding reception with my wife in a few minutes, and didn’t want to share this musical talent with our friends at the reception. Melaleuca is Antibacterial
For years I have suffered with canker sores. For all of you who don’t know how painful a canker sore is, this is a pain that doesn’t stop, coming from the depths of your soul. This is a pain that starts out slow and lasts long. In fact canker sores can last up to three weeks. No sooner would one canker sore start to heal, then another one would form. Sometimes I could have as many as three canker sores in my mouth at one time.
Canker sores appear to be brought on by many types of stress, either emotional, physical, or chemical. Emotional stress can be caused by any situation that puts you under pressure. Physical stress might be caused by an abrasion in your mouth, burns from hot foods, or even biting your tongue or cheek. Chemical stress means anything that changes your body chemistry, such as an illness or a change in your eating habits.
There are two things I have found that are very helpful with my canker sores. First I take L-Lysine. This is a very important amino acid that you can find in the vitamin section of the grocery store. The second thing I use is melaleuca essential oil. I rub this oil on my canker sores. It numbs my canker sores. Melaleuca essential oil is a very powerful oil. It is antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-infectious. Since I started using melaleuca essential oil the length of time I have a canker sore is a lot less. Who would have thought the oil in a small bottle would be so effective?
