Drugs Are to Sell Not to Take

Kumen Richie

Many years ago when my mom was a little girl, her older brother Kumen got sick. My grandpa took him to the doctor and he was given a prescription for a cough and he had the measles. On the way home from visiting the doctor my grandpa heard a voice that said, “throw the prescription in the river”. He didn’t listen and gave his son the medicine. Shortly after taking the drug he got worse, much worse. My uncle that I never met, slipped into a coma, and died hours after taking the medicine at age 7.

Come to find out the pharmacist had accidentally given my uncle a prescription normally given to adults. My Grandpa was so distraught he decided to change his college major from horticulture to a pharmaceutical degree. He said “if I can save one life it will be worth it”.

For many years my grandparents owned a drug store in Wisner, Louisiana. One day a man came in to fill his prescription and my grandpa looked at the prescription and said “If I fill that prescription you will be dead tomorrow, I refuse to fill it”.

The Unwritten Agreement Between Hospitals and Insurance Providers

“There are significant efforts by insurance companies to exclude preventive health care and education and the use of natural, inexpensive remedies, while ignoring the benefits of nutrition. At the same time they pay huge medical claims to hospitals for surgery and pharmaceutical products. There is an unwritten agreement between hospitals and insurance providers to reimburse the hospitals for services performed in hospitals – to scratch each other’s back – so to speak. There is a hidden agenda in this. If insurance providers pay hospitals for patients’ medical claims, then at the end of the year the insurance companies can go to the state insurance commissions with their track records and request a premium increase. A premium increase translates into more profit for the insurance carriers as well as the hospitals.”

Aches and Pains a Regular Part of Life

Cassie Fish

The older I get the more I realize aches and pains are a regular part of life. When I was younger I would hear people in their fifties and beyond talk about all their ailments, I thought how bad can it get? Now that I am one of those older people, I get it. Most of the time I am feeling great, however there are times when I feel my age, surprised at all the places you can have a senior moment with pain.

Several years ago Cassie my wife, was expecting our youngest daughter when her knee gave out on her. She was in major pain as a result of pulling a ligament. Ever since this happened, Cassie’s knee has never been the same. Cassie kept her knee wrapped with a knee brace for extra support for quite a while as a result of the injury.

Cassie was able to remove her knee brace after a few months but her knee was never quite the same. One day 3 years ago after a early spring snow storm, Cassie slipped on some ice walking to the parking lot and really messed up her knee.

A few days after Cassie re-injured her knee we were at a (  ) class where we were introduced to essential oils. At the end of the class we were asked if we wanted to get a Zyto Hand Scan with bio feed back capabilities. This is a computer program where a person puts their hand on a extra large mouse like device. When you put your hand on this it sends impulses from the body to the computer to determine how many of 76 bio markers are out of the normal range. The lower the number the more your body is in the normal range.

Prescription Drugs Have Negative Affects

“There are over 10 million adverse reactions yearly from FDA-approved over-the-counter and prescription drugs. We are not talking about mild nausea or headaches. Between 60,000 and 140,000 people die each year from adverse drug reactions. Each year, more Americans die after taking prescription drugs than died in the entire Vietnam war. Over half the drugs approved by the FDA since 1976 were later found to be much more toxic than previously thought. Several had to be removed from the market.”

Eczema a Painful Skin Condition

Eczema a Painful Skin Condition
For many years I have suffered with eczema I must have inherited from my dad. This is a skin condition that can make my skin dry, red and itch like crazy. No one knew I had a problem unless I would get lazy and stop applying a very greasy prescription ointment called Triamcinolone Acetonide. My face either looked red, or greasy most of the time.

Eczema is any inflammation of the layers of skin that results in itching, redness and pain, sometimes blistering occurs. The term ‘eczema’ is used in two different ways. It can be used to describe any rash -like skin conditions It is usually used specifically to refer to the most common type of these skin conditions: atopic dermatitis.

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic skin condition that commonly starts during infancy and continues through into childhood. Some people outgrow the condition while some people will continue to have it when they are adults.

The word ‘atopic’ refers to a collection of diseases for which there is an inherited tendency to develop, including dermatitis, asthma and hay fever. ‘Dermatitis’ means inflammation of the skin.

I had resigned myself to years of itching, burning, and greasy messes. Even with my knowledge of essential oils I didn’t think it was possible to escape what I thought was an obvious fate of sore, itchy, red, skin. For the rest of the story Click Here.

Drugs Never Cure Disease

“Drugs never cure disease. They merely hush the voice of nature’s protest, and pull down the danger signals she erects along the pathway of transgression. Any poison taken into the system has to be reckoned with later on even though it palliates present symptoms. Pain may disappear, but the patient is left in a worse condition, though unconscious of it at the time.”

Many Dependent on Legal Perscription Drugs

We are prone to thinking of drug abuse in terms of the male population and illicit drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and marijuana. It may surprise you to learn that a greater problem exists with millions of women dependent on legal prescription drugs.”

The Structure of Medical Knowledge

“What hope is there for medical science to ever become a true science when the entire structure of medical knowledge is built around the idea that there is an entity called disease which can be expelled when the right drug is found?”
